Why should you do a website redesign in 2020?

First, your website is an investment. You’re website should be an extension of your business. It should be source of revenue generation, working as hard as any employee on your staff and most cases harder and more effectively. In this article, I would like to cover the top five reasons why you should get a website redesign and how this will grow your business, make you more profitable and streamline your sales process.

1. Make Your Business More Profitable

The first and most important reason you should get a website redesign this year is to increase business profitability. Your website should operate as a point of sale to facilitate profit and a streamlined sales funnel.

Profit should always be a cornerstone of your company, because unfortunately businesses do not run on passion or even innovation, alone. You must bring in profit.

1a. Better website = More Profit

ultimately with a new website you should be able to improve your company’s profitability by improving online sales.

2. Improve User Experience

User experience is a main factor of site effectiveness. Some factors of user experience are site flow, call-to-actions and sales funnels. This includes site cornerstone content

2a. How do people interact with your website?

Having a good understanding of how customers currently interact with your website will help you on your website redesign journey. Make note of what is currently working and in what areas your website needs improvement, or better yet consult with a professional. Call us to set up a consultation.

3. Streamline Site Updates

With your new website you should ensure the new website framework has an easy to use backend UI (user-interface). Consult with your developer and possibly get a tutorial video before hand, so you have a good idea of how content can be updated on the new platform.

3a. Suggested platform for mid size companies

My choice for most website builds is WordPress. Our team has been using it for years, we are very familiar with it. We know the benefits of WordPress and also its limitations.

with this said, I recommend WordPress for just about any standard website and even prototyping complex website applications.

Here are three complex WordPress prototypes you can take a look

  1. Scoutshift.com
  2. Business Insights
  3. Vitmoto.com

4. Build a User Database

With your new website you should definitely consider how to bring users into the new website. One of the easiest ways of doing this is by building a user database or email list. Send your customers/users/clients/patience updated information about what your business is doing and develop better relationships.

5. Offer Better Support for Your Products and Services

Your new website should assist with offering better support to your customers. Develop systems to funnel leads, and current customers into advance sales funnels and project management systems.

In conclusion, I hope this article helps. If you have any questions or need assistance with anything please let our team know and we can help handle your new website. Contact us for a free consultations.
