Backing up website files
Intro to how to backup a WordPress website with Cpanel. In this tutorial, I’m assuming you know what cPanel is and you’re somewhat familiar with how it works. Let’s get down to it.
Step one: File Manager file Backup
First, go to your file manager and locate the WordPress files of your WordPress website. Ensure you are showing hidden files when you do this. Next, highlight all the files and select compress. From there, you can download the zip file of your website or just leave it in your public_html folder.
Step Two: Database Backup
Next, go to your PHPmyAdmin and select export in the database for the website you want to backup. At the bottom of export, you can just select the suggested export method. Once the file has exported you can save it in a file for safekeeping.
